  • Man Boobs Advice

Hi, all. I have been "primal" for about a month. I was rather overweight before. Now I fit comfortable into 32 waist jeans (just got some in the mail today, waist has plenty of room but I've got some tree trunk thighs so I've got to stretch them out a bit).

I'm 5'9, don't know what I weigh because my scale is broken.

Anyway, I've got some man boobs that I'm trying to rid myself of. When I "flex" the things become firm and I guess there's a decent amount of muscle there. I know spot training doesn't really work and I'm in no rush.. I'm just hoping for some sort of reassurance that these things go away.

    Any similar experiences?

Do bench presses and firm the muscle up. While it won't reduce the fat, it will firm the base it sits on and work to keep it from sagging as much. Yes, they will go away

Endurance training and chronic overuse will destroy muscle. I suspect if you flap your arms madly forward for hours a day everyday, so your hands meet out in front of you, your pecs will self-destruct. Alternatively, strapping giant wings to your arms and taking up hang-gliding might help, too. J/K, but I know your pain. My legs are giant, like a cricket or a frog. I can out jump every person I know but my pants never fit right. I took up daily running for awhile, and it worked. My legs are smaller now.

Apparently (check out my before and after pics, via my journal)

Assuming you've cut out all the nasty processed crap, like soy products, grain etc. and your hormone profile isn't completely screwed,
it's just a case of keeping on keeping on. As your body composition changes, body fat % drops and you maintain or gain muscle, I'm sure you'll see an improvement.

Hang in there, you to reduce your "moobliness"

              get yourself a manzier...

just kidding. i sported moobs for a while i first lost my weight. for some people, that's just where the body stores fat. lose the fat (food, sprinting, lifting), and those moobs will be replaced with pecs that look like they were cut from marble...hairy marble perhaps, but that's a whole other thing.

Keep on trucking man. Yer moobs will melt away. Pec size (muscle) varies a lot among guys - it tends to be a big muscle for me, for some reason. So when I was mooby they were more noticable. The good news then is when those moobs leave you, you'll have a "nice chest" and be better at bench pressing than a lot of guys.

I agree with all comments. Between your weight loss & exercise, they WILL melt away. And when it happens you'll be amazed. Took about 4 mths at my end.

Just keep at it buddy. Figuratively speaking, fitness is a marathon, not a sprint. So you are definitely in it for the long haul. Keep doing what your doing and you will get there in time.

Thanks guys! And there is no moob droop.. i think it is just fat sitting on top of muscle as opposed to anything hormonal. We'll see where the next few weeks take me. People have already been saying I look trim, which is awesome. Maybe I am making a bigger deal about them than they even are anymore since they've been frustrating me for years.

They're all lying to you. I've had my moobs for years. They won't go anywhere.

Sorry, only one way to settle this one. Photographic evidence ;-)
