    The primal blueprint recommends 3-5 hours of walking per week.

    I love to walk but I' wondering if I walked more than 5 hours per week, would that be considered chronic cardio?

    To answer the question with a question: what do you think our ancestors did when they weren't sleeping? That's right, mainly walking. 3-5 hours a day, at minimum.

      Nope. Walking doesn't raise your heart rate or your cortisol levels and your body won't start cannibalizing your muscle tissue for energy. The energy sources used will be aerobic, never anaerobic. In addition, the higher impact of running can cause joint and other problems that walking won't.

          yup, you'll be alright.

          we do about 7-10 hrs per week, if not more. we ain't dead yet.

                Walk is also my favorite exercise. I do it regularly. it is my hobby. I do walk regularly for 1 hour. Walk is best source of fitness. I have reduced lot of weight with it. Walk keeps us fresh and active and it is good for legs, muscles and bones.

                    I do around 8 hours of walking a week, though that's come down a lot because 'm on my bike most of the time now!
