  • Wall Street Journal Nordic Workout - Is this is joke

This individual discusses the rigors of her workout - wow the pictures do not sell me. Probably a SAD diet goes with it. Nordic Walking: A Skiing Workout for the Off-Season - WSJ.com

The pictures didn't sell me either.

    I would never:
Take driving lessons from a blind person
Take advice about child rearing from someone who has never had a child
Take exercise/nutrition advice from a fat person

Not trying to be mean, just practical.

Her weakness is cheese and a glass of wine with dinner
If she admits to that, you know that cake and ice cream happen every second day.

A bunch of walking with sticks and 2 days of hill sprints and hopping drills sounds relatively primal to me.

Oatmeal for breakfast , lean turkey on spelt bread for lunch and ravioli for dinner not so much..
They say she has eggs occasionally on a weekend as if to say she's not too striict about eating right all the time!!

          I agree to some extent.

I feel it is better if you are not "fit" to keep your advice to yourself. I know more about fitness and nutrition than probalby 70% of americans but i had not yet figured out my own problem. Given that unless you have spotted me in the gym, treked with me across Tsali on my mountian bike, cooked dinner with me, or watched me for years focus on discovering why the frak i am fat, you have every right to assume i am a fat slob.

On the other hand those who know do come to me, esp now that i have begun to get answers. Along the way i picked up way more info than the common person needs to stay fit.

I personally woudl not have wanted that 15 minutes of fame. not knowing her background i too am left wondering "who she thinks she is"

of course i coudl be wrong.

I see people hiking with sticks, and the reason they do it is to reduce energy need, alowing them to go faster, or for longer. It's the opposite of what they're claiming here.

It's walking, with sticks. Unless you're 6'7", blond haired, blue eyed, and have a dog named Mjolnir you aren't going to be cross country skiing enough for it to matter.
