  • Mark Sisson doing SuperSlow exercises!

Just ran across this post (which is about two weeks old):

    W.O.W. 6/03/11-The Brownsburg Beatdown

While I don't necessarily think that SuperSlow is the panacea of strength training (and I guess neither do Mark Sisson or Doug McGuff), I do agree that it's a very useful technique. I plan to use it infrequently.

    He did SuperSlow(TM) MACHINES.
We're not told what protocol he did.
    Very unlikely it was SuperSlow(TM).
Probably BBS or some close variant.

"and he seemed impressed with the protocol"

This suggests to me that the purpose of him working out on these machines was to give the protocol a try. :-)

It was mostly likely HIT... http://indyhitseminar.com/mark-sisson/

          HIT
          __ very slow reps
          ____ SuperSlow(TM)
          ____ BBS(TM)
____ Fred Hahn(forget his protocol trade name)
          ____ Power of Ten
____ Darden as a variation from usual 2,4
          ____ etc,etc

When the bbs blog says Nautilus Leg Press or MedEx legp Pess or Hammer leg press they're talking about hardware.
If the protocol is not bbs its usually noted in the post.

The actual SuperSlow(TM) protocol got into some outrageous TUT's. like upwards of 3 minutes.

So HIT yes, slow reps 1 set to failure yes, SS probably not, BBS probably.
