No as long as there is enough equipment there is never a problem if there are too many people in a class sometimes they'll stagger or have you do the WOD in reverse order. Crossfit is awesome though definitely recommend it!
Absolutely not. If we don't have enough equipment (rarely an issue but sometimes a problem with rowing WODs), people will start in stages, and the coaches will try to group people who are at similar speeds. It's not like circuit training at a regular gym--check out some videos of CF workouts to get a sense of what it looks like.
