  • Rock Out with your GROK Out!

Who else jams while exercising? Since I started wearing BOSE noise cancelling headphones with Ozzy Osbourne or Ted Nugent at full blast, my workouts are more intense and I can really get into it without getting bored, useful on the walk-slow days, but really awesome on the high intensity intervals.

    So what's ya'alls favorite Grok-out music?

I have two really big favourites:
Spirit of the West - Home for a Rest
      Great Big Sea - I'm a rover

And of course on long slow days:
The Dubliners - Rocky Road to Dublin
      The Dubliners - Finnegan's Wake
Great Big Sea - The Banks of Newfoundland

      Great songs.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

Yellowcards new album after taking a 2 year hiatus which btw i went to there last concert they are back and better than ever, or void808 which is a california band.
        Started 3/10/2010 263.2 lbs

        04/24/2010 227.00 lbs

Didn't know eating healthy could make me so sick, you dont realize how sick you are until you feel better. My little jack russel who is a chronic shedder is now cured by a healthy diet. Monsanto is pure evil i for one will not buy roundup or any other monsanto products.

Ozzy rules obviously...but the Nuge? seriously? seriously?

I'm mean, sure he likes to hunt, and eat meat. But his music sucks.

That's a great one for working out.

For low intensity stuff I really love post-rock, as well as spacey electronic music like this:
                  Rumblejunkie - Dope Angel
                  Modest Mouse - The Air
Jel - '98 at Its Finest

For high intensity workouts I prefer hard rock, hip-hop, and heavier electronic (like dubstep and IDM).
Shit Luck by Modest Mouse is a favorite of mine. Makes me feel like I'm preparing for the apocalypse. Queens of the Stone Age is another high intensity favorite.

The thread title had me thinking this was about people dancing naked.

OK, Just checked my iPod so I could give you a long list of Uncle Ted's greatest hits, and all I had on there were Wango Tango and Cat Scratch Fever--two very awesome, primal tunes...Had way more Kid Rock and Red Hot Chili Peppers-ha!

Harder faster stronger is a great song to work out too. Also, most songs by Prodigy can get me going as well.

couple other notables I am listening to right now
La Roux - In for the Kill - Skream Remix
The Glitch Mob - Bad Wings

People say I am on a "crazy" diet. What is so crazy about eating veggies, fruits, seafood and organ meats? Just because I don't eat whole wheat and processed food doesn't make my diet "crazy". Maybe everyone else with a SAD are the "crazy" ones for putting that junk in their system.

I LOVE listening to music to get more energy for working out. But I have to admit I like the cheesy stuff--pop/electronica/dance.

Like: Lady Gaga, David Guetta, old Gigi D'Agostino, upbeat No Doubt/Killers or Gwen Stefani, heck even Britney Spears and Madonna... Muse works, too.

Current songs on my iPod include: Stereo Love, Heads will Roll, Whatcha Say, Barbara Streisand (the song, not the artist!)...
