For techno speed work I like - Chemical Brothers, Okenfeld, The Crystal Method (vegas is a great album), terranova, prodigy, bloc party and fluke.

For hard driving hills and lifting I gravitate toward Government Mule (the deepest end is a great ablum), Led Zepplin, seether, sublime, nickelback, 3 doors down, rage against the machine, metallica, alice in chains and AC/DC.

If you like instrumental and epic-sounding, Two Steps From Hell. I pretty much just crank it and go.

I literally have a playlist for the gym. Aside from the other good music choices i personally like:
Five Finger Death Punch- awesome sound without the whiny scream-o vocals (sorry to some of you metal-core guys, i love the rifts but personally cannot stand the screaming)
Saliva- hard rocking energetic group on some of their songs
Static-x- Industrial metal at its finest (at least for working out anyway)
Trivium- Ok these guys scream, but they make it sound manly.

These are the bands i have more than about 4 of on my "fired up" (for the gym) playlist and that have not been mentioned.
