I know it's not my thread, but that's a f***in' great resource....thanks. I've been getting kind of stagnant in my routine lately.

I went to my local sporting goods big-box store to get a kettlebell, to find that kettlebells are 2x the price of dumbbells, per pound. Whats up with that?? A 35# bell was like $70, dumbbell only $35. Still shopping.

(edit: jeez it looks like $70 was a good price....)

Set up an eBay search that is restricted to 50 miles from your zip code and you may be able to pick one up with no shipping charge.

Save the search and you will be emailed when someone lists one.

Looks like they go for about a dollar a pound.

look for Apollo kettlebells. I got a 24kg one for around 60 bucks on ebay w/ free shipping. Sadly, I found out their warehouse is in Anaheim so I couldve went and got it for cheaper if I just drove over there.

My only issue with the Apollo KBs are that they have a pretty thick handle.

                Hey Fergal,

There's loads of stuff on the net, when I don't feel like doing a really intense KB session - as per almost everything you'll find online, I like to just do 8x2 minute alternating intervals of turkish get-ups and then the same again for windmills using a 16kg or 20kg kb with no breaks between each interval. Thats' a really uncomplicated half an hour work-out but great for flexibility, stability and balance.

Good to see another Irish PB'er by the way.

                  Try a swing/goblet squat ladder.

                  10 swings/10 goblet squats....9 swings/9 goblet squats...down to 1/1.

You can then come up if you wish. The key is to not put down the kb.

                  Fast, efficient, effective
