  • I can do a pullup!

This is probably going to sound stupid but after months of trying I finally did my first pull up today! I am so excited for myself . All my inspiration has come from all of you guys here at MDA, so THANK YOU!!!!!!

Hey congratulations! That's not stupid or silly at all. Doing the self-assessment on the Primal Blueprint Fitness book tells me I need to be doing level 1 of the plank progression, and I'm a fit (or so I thought) 24-year-old. I actually have yet to test for pull-ups as I haven't found a convenient bar or overhang, but I'm pretty sure I won't be where I would like to be.

Thanks guys! I really want to read the primal fitness book but I just haven't had time yet. I have had this pullup bar for over 3 years and I have never been able to do a pullup I tried for a while when I first got it then gave up, and now for the last two months I tried almost everyday.

Congrats! That's a big milestone. The difference between 0 and 1 is the biggest hurdle. I see multiple reps in your future!
