    I seem to have overdone the paddling a bit and now the 1st segments of my ring fingers and middle segments of my middle fingers are quite sore. I think it was a combination of wearing neoprene gloves and using a shaft with too large a diameter for my hands. I think I'll stop wearing the gloves for now.


    Does anyone have any advice how to treat flexor tendinitis, aside from the standard RICE and vitamin I treatment? I'm thinking forearm stretches and the like. Anything nutritional that can speed healing?

    I can't recommend enough self myofascial release. Get rid of trigger points in forearms, arms,, and shoulders. Check this great free ebook:

    Stretching: take it easy, as it can make it worse if you already have inflammation.


    Another good (great!) resource is the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook, bu Davies & Davies.


    Also, make sure you are taking enough fish oil.

      take a hot towel and cover the area, do it 15-20 minutes at a time.

      it helps the bloodflow in that area and therefore heal faster.
