  • Just had a Primal birth experience! Welcome my boy to the world!

Welcome Friedrich "Fritz" Ward Rangitsch, 4-15-2010, 6lb 12oz, 18 inches to the world! Mother and child are resting, feeding, recovering fine, nervous first time Dad (me) is still reeling from the whole experience. Fascinating event, managed a fully natural "Bradley Method" birth, just a magical/traumatic/spiritual/taxing/uplifting/Primal in every way, process.

So many things to manage, get educated about over this whole process. Vaccinations, nutrition, procedures, tests, that need to be planned and managed. It is really a minefield out there! But we are so happy and are doing great. Sure am glad for the Primal/Paleo community that I have mined for info over this time. And honestly, going Primal enabled us to get pregnant and stay that way!

Congrats! How long was labor? My first son was born naturally using a midwife, including partial water birth, and that was a long 18 hours! And as you said "magical/traumatic/spiritual/taxing/uplifting/Primal in every way, process."

Great news. Put a smile on my face for sure. Congratulations.

P.S. - Get ready, you just stomped down hard on life's accelerator pedal. Nothing makes time zoom by like having kids, but the illusion of giving up quantity of time is dwarfed by the real immensity of love you'll find in parenthood.

Our doc was great, Marta would have "given up" and gone C-section (had a more conventional doctor offered/pushed that), but with some relaxation, then re-focussing (the last 3 hours were intense) she did it all on her own. But 14 hours of hard labor, the final 3 hours were beyond description.
