Hey guys and gals, I am a fat Canadian from the great white north! I needed by extra layer of blubber in years past, but with global warming in full swing, I can safely lose my layer of insulation.

Jokes aside, It has gotten to the point where I get tired climbing up stairs, and I am just generally disgusted with myself.

I am in school for biology and psychology, looking to become a high school bio teacher by the end.

I am a secular humanist, and I run a skeptics group in my city. I also host a podcast.

Not sure what else to put... lol.

You don't have to be. Just how it goes for all kinds of complex resons that none of us really controls. No-one here will judge you.

Plenty of people have started where you are or heavier -- Jimmy Moore is an obvious example -- so there's no reason you can't succeed.

Welcome, well done on taking all your measurements first. Once you start eating well you will probably notice they start to change very fast. Enjoy your meat and veges!
