    • I have been researching Primal / Paleo WOL and reading MDA for a couple of months now. The PB book has been on request from my local library for just as long... so I have finally given up and ordered it from Amazon.

I have slowly packed on 25 extra lbs over the last 2 years (on top of the 20 extra I already HAD)... tried WW... Atkins... Low Fat... South Beach... you name it. I currently have no health issues other than being fat and exhausted all day; however, I have a family history of type 2 diabetes, high BP and chol., heart disease, and a few other things. As I sit here with my fat pants feeling very very tight, I need a lifestyle change, and now.

        Age: 32

How Primal are you: About 90%

Do you consume dairy: In general, no. In a pinch I'll put some full-fat cream in my coffee (but generally use homemade almond milk).

Do you drink coffee or tea: Coffee regularly, tea occasionally, mostly water.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Trying to bust through a plateau. Who knew grains were the problem?

Favorite exercise: Whatever's going on at my CrossFit box.

Favorite Primal food: Too many to list. Ribeyes are definitely my favorite cut of meat.

Best part about being Primal: The simplicity and the results!

Worst part about being Primal: Having to explain my "diet" over and over and over again...

          Your location: Midwest

          Age (If you want): 28

How Primal are you: getting moreso all the time. Currently, I'm a WAPer (Weston A Price) heading more towards grain and sugar free- we'll see if I feel the need to go farther than that when I get to where I want to be.

Do you consume dairy: Yes, and honestly Ic an't imagine life without it, which means I'll prolly need to give it up sooner or later, lol.

Do you drink coffee or tea: No coffee, unless it's a rare social occasion, and never caffeinated- caffeine makes me buzzy. Tea- yes, but rarely "true" tea, more often herbal teas. I have adrenal fatigue and I'm very wary of intentionally consuming caffeine to give me energy.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I want to LGN.

Favorite exercise: Blech. I will go into deep detail about how I loathe and despise exercise sometime soon.

Favorite Primal food: Uhh... steak? Is lox primal?

Best part about being Primal: Haven't gotten any benefits so far, cause I"m not fully primal yet.

Worst part about being Primal: I'm quite sure the worst part is the transition process.

How Primal are you: Beginner, though I like what I've seen/read so far.

Do you consume dairy: Milk / Cheese / Yogurt

Do you drink coffee or tea: No coffee, herbal teas occasionally

Motivator for switching to Primal: Mark's book was really an eye-opener for me in terms of our culture's addiction to grains. While I already consider myself fit (6'1", 175, triathlete), I'm always looking for ways to feel better and get healthier.

Favorite exercise: SwimBikeRun. Getting into yoga to regain flexibility I once had.

Favorite Primal food: Meat and veggies, lathered in butter.

Best part about being Primal: The flexibility it offers, but still too early to say about other benefits.

Worst part about being Primal: I suppose missing all of the carbs, but I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, why? Because I knew it was bad for me. Getting yourself in the proper mindset makes things much easier.

                        Your location: Copenhagen, Denmark

                        Age (If you want): 32

How Primal are you: 80% (so far. Considering switching from another low carb lifestyle)

Do you consume dairy: At the moment, I consume full fat dairy.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Only occasionally-a cup of coffee once or twice a week.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I have lost 47 pounds on low carb diets (a modified Atkins diet), and, while it has worked for me, I am now experiencing a stall. My body seems to refuse to lose any more weight, although I am not at a healthy weight. I would like to lose at least 50 more pounds. I have a suspicion that non-paleo foods, like dairy, may be causing my problems with stalls and possibly contributing to gastro distress. I am also educated as an Anthropologist, so the idea of Paleo/Primal makes sense to me and cannot be ignored!

                        Favorite exercise: Running

                        Favorite Primal food: Beef

Best part about being Primal: Feeling better than ever before! Controlled diabetes!

Worst part about being Primal: I am afraid to go 100% because I would have to give up dairy...! Yikes!
