        Your location: North America!

        Age: 20

How Primal are you: Following the breakdowns as close as possible! I just can't seem to find as high quality organic foods, though. Accessible farmers and big urban areas don't really mix.

Do you consume dairy: Not at this point. I cut it out at the beginning of my primal efforts, thinking I could gradually reintroduce cheese to my diet after a bit, once I find a good place to get it.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Tea, can't stand coffee.

Motivator for switching to Primal: It seems like it's very easy to slip as a uni student and I'd like to develop some good habits sooner rather than later. And to get back to a better body composition after six months of world traveling and ethnic food binging.

Favorite exercise: GYMNASTICS. It's been a lifelong love affair. And anything involving exercise and medicine balls.

        Favorite Primal food: !!!!Bacon!!!!

Best part about being Primal: Good skin, high energy levels, tasty recipes, regular epiphanies by reading this website, feeling better, keeping in tune with body systems, etc.

Worst part about being Primal: Being scared of under cooking meat and over cooking it out of paranoia. Reading about really interesting and unique primal ingredients that I can't scrounge up.

          Your location: Oslo, Norway

          Age (If you want): 41

How Primal are you: At this stage, about 70 - 80% of my daily energy intake is from animal fat and protein. Rest is from nuts, seeds and vegetable oils etc. I eat a lot of cocosa - or coconut extra virgin oil. Excellent source of fat. I'd guess I am somewhere at 95% primal. I don't eat any grains, rice, potatoes, pasta, sugars etc. No processed foods at all and make everything from scratch.

Do you consume dairy: Yes, whole milk or cream. The fatter the better. Maybe a glass each other day.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes, 2 - 3 cups a day

Motivator for switching to Primal: Weight losss, not so much that any longer as for the health gains. I've lost 18 kg over the last 6 months, but at the same gain a lot of muscle. My waist has gone from 112,5 cm around to 90 cm. I am 176 cm tall and weigh now in at 82-83 kg. Much of my dry skin is gone. People say I look 5 - 10 years younger, more vibrant.

          Favorite exercise: Squats and push-ups.

Favorite Primal food: Salmon - preferably wild salmon.

Best part about being Primal: Feeling great and fit.

Worst part about being Primal: Having to answer questions like: "When are you going to start eat normal?" To which I have more and more often started to reply: "When will you?"

I just came over this site and from what I've read and learned so far this chimes very well with what I've figured out the last 6 months. I am currently on a Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet - which incidentally is very similar to Primal, if not exact the same. This site puts everything more in system than what I've read before.

Welcome Sungrazer, sounds like you'll fit right in!

The Primal diet sounds exactly like what you've been doing, however the lifestyle here aims to go deeper than just food, and encompasses exercise and body rhythm, among other things.

Apparently I suck at life, so I'm crowd-sourcing my decisions, and sharing what I learn.

              Your location: Mississippi

              Age:24

How Primal are you: if i can include coffee then 100%

Do you consume dairy: i WAS consuming over 30 oz of dairy a day from sour cream, cottage cheese, 3 kinds of raw cheese, feta goat, butter, cream, yogurt but i cut it all out last week to try to improve my complexion... i would love to have dairy so i was thinking about sticking to the raw or should i stick to the ones lower in protein like buter, cream and sour cream and get rid of cheese, cottage cheese and yogurt?

Do you drink coffee or tea: coffee i think tea is gross

Motivator for switching to Primal: i was zero carb for over a year and it F#*$& me up and my eating disorder recovery. this is a sane approach and incredibly easy and livable

Favorite exercise: tennis, walking, swimming, sprinting... i have REALLY bad knees from years of cheerleading/gymnastics/running with flat feet, my knees always feel like they are being pushed inwards

              Favorite Primal food:

Best part about being Primal: you would think it is a huge secret but i actually love food. i love cooking it, smelling it and eating it. primal allows me to actually FEEL GOOD when i eat and not be ashamed and hateful towards myself

Worst part about being Primal: i live in Mississippi, the most obese state in the USA and am recovered almost from anorexia... we have no quality food, no good stores, and i have to order everything online usually which is incredibly expensive with shipping. everyone down here shoves food at your face 24/7 with sweet tea and it is considered "rude" to not accept the food people plate you when you go somewhere. im always portrayed as a freak simply because i eat real food and do not accept cornbread, fried chicken and the like.

Favorite Primal food: chicken b/c it is SO versatile, love most fish except flounder, eggs when i get them from the farm in season are SO FREAKING YUMMY fried in butter

                Hey everyone!

                Your location: Flower Mound, Texas

                Age: 39

How Primal are you: I would say 100%, except for a cup of coffee each morning.

Do you consume dairy: Just butter and heavy cream

Do you drink coffee or tea: 1 cup coffee per day. I will have a rare glass of iced tea.

Motivator for switching to Primal: My health. I have been slowly going this direction for a few years. I have my annual physical in August 2010. I am anxious to see how my blood work comes out.

Favorite exercise: Weight lifting! Squats, deadlifts, benchpress, pull ups. The heavy good stuff.

Favorite Primal food: Eggs. I love eggs and have avoided them up until now. Not anymore.

Best part about being Primal: My stomach problems are gone. Even when eating "healthy" dairy and grain products, they must have been affecting me all these years with bloating, gassy feeling and noises. I am also sleeping better than ever.

Worst part about being Primal: Eating out. However, I have been finding that salads are good way to go primal in restaurants, so it's not so bad.

                  Your location: NYC

                  Age (If you want): 28

                  How Primal are you:

When it comes to food, I think I'm doing great! As far as exercise goes, I need to get moving.

                  Do you consume dairy:

Yes, I'm really enjoying eating butter and full fat cheese without guilt. One of these days, I plan to phase it out to see how I feel without it.

Do you drink coffee or tea:

Both, usually just one coffee at work, then green/herbal teas.

                  Motivator for switching to Primal:

I want to improve my health (and to look hot, of course).

                  Favorite exercise:

Yoga, walking, weights, also anything that doesn't require coordination

                  Favorite Primal food: Fat

                  Best part about being Primal:

How easy it is to eat primal - meat, fat, veggies - that's it, and I love it!

                  Worst part about being Primal:

Uhm...Not being able to afford organic/grass-fed everything? Also, watching other people eat 'healthy' is pretty frustrating.

                    Your location: Odessa, TX

                    Age (If you want): 25

How Primal are you: 85%- still include dairy, minimal chocolate, honey, tomatos, and free range meat is hard to come by right now

                    Do you consume dairy: yes

Do you drink coffee or tea: I drink tea in restaurants and as a concentration factor at work

Motivator for switching to Primal: It seemed to be the logical, scientific way to go for my health. I was headed this direction prior to discovering MDA, and this just gave me the kick in the rear I needed to go whole hog.

Favorite exercise: I've created an obstacle run for a local elementary school playground. It touches on every part of the body.

Favorite Primal food: Zucchini "pasta" dishes. I make my own sauce and sausage from scratch and mix that all into whatever variant I want

Best part about being Primal: The health bennies are out of this (modern)world. And, as smug and self- righteous as this sound, it's good to know I've one step ahead (or behind, in the case) of the norm and CW.

Worst part about being Primal: Catching flak for not eating "normal." I live in the Southern US, where to turn down proffered food is one of the 7 deadly sins. So when I turn down cake in favor of a BAS, I hear things like "You're skinny enough already. You don't need to lose weight.", "One piece won't hurt", "How can you stand that stuff",and my all time favorite "I worked so hard on this. Won't you just have a small taste? Pleeease? For meee?" My standard response has become either "I honestly prefer this to sugar" or, if they're being particularly rude "My salad contains more nutrients and enjoyment than all the desserts you'll ever make put together. It's also tastier. I said no."

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Do you drink coffee or tea:yes, please

Motivator for switching to Primal:caught a glance of myself. i look older than i should and larger than i thought i could ever be. i'm the girl that got a huge tattoo on my stomach and when my friend said: wow, you must not be afraid of getting fat! i was like, nope, cuz it would never happen. but it's happening. also, i have always been a very active person but in the past couple years, that has dwindled down to the point where a flight of stairs is a mission. and, furthermore, recovering from an eating disorder which most people call "dieting" it's really nice to just eat food that i love. plus, i've always wanted to just live in a cave and run with wolves....read clan of the cave bear more times then should be admitted in polite company

Best part about being Primal:it is not really about learning something new, just remembering how i've always preferred to eat before politics spoiled it all

I hadn't done this yet either so:

                        Location: Victoria B.C. Canada

                        Age (If you want): 25

How Primal are you: Roughly 90% I have weaknesses for my grandmothers cooking, and the occasional amazing dessert at my favorite restaurant.

Do you consume dairy: I do, but would like to cut it out entirely, as i get obvious intolerance symptoms. I simply enjoy Heavy cream in my coffee, and plain 5% yogurt so much.

Do you drink coffee or tea: both. usually an Americano or Africano in the morning, and occassionally tea in the evening.

Motivator for switching to Primal: General interest in nutrition and health, and having tried various ways of eating throughout my life (SAD, partial-full vegetarianism, low carb) I've found Primal to be the one that feels the most natural and shows the most positive outcomes.

Favorite exercise: weight lifting, basketball, soccer, volleyball, cycling, walking

Favorite Primal food: eggs, chicken, bacon

Best part about being Primal: being more emotionally sound, and having steady energy throughout the day

Worst part about being Primal: constantly. CONSTANTLY defending and explaining my food choices. Also, having to give up things that I genuinely cherish and enjoy (grandmas homebaked bread and various baked goods/desserts to name a couple...)

                              Hi everyone!

                              Your location: Los Angeles

                              Age (If you want): 35

How Primal are you: I mostly eat meat and vegetables. Some nuts. I cheat with sugarfree dark chocolate.

Do you consume dairy: Trying to wean myself off it with almond milk.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Decaf tea.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I was raised by a hippie mom who had me on an accidental primal diet because we had so many food allergies in my family. No sugar, white flour or white rice for 15 years. I was never sick and I never had cavities. Then eating a chocolate chip cookie in Jr. High changed my life for the worse. After eating nothing but junk in high school, I destroyed my health even though I was a dancer and exercising 2 hours a day. Now, thanks to my husband (Timothy on here) and his great success with PB, I'm trying to get back to where I was when I was a kid.

Favorite exercise: Walking with baby in arms everywhere.

                              Favorite Primal food: Sashimi.

Best part about being Primal: I haven't had a panic attack in a month.

Worst part about being Primal: I still have dreams about eating large plates of pasta. Also most of the people we know think we are crazy for doing it.

How Primal are you: 85-90% As a student I have trouble finding the money for high quality organic foods.

Do you consume dairy: Rarely, I have nibbled on some dark chocolate.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes, I’ve always had a soft spot for teas of all kinds.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Although I’m not substantially overweight, I’ve always dreamt of a stronger, slimmer body but have never had the “urge” to strive for it. About a month ago, it just clicked. I woke up and literally jumped out of bed and went for an hour walk. Upon coming home I began to look up “healthy ways of living.” At first I stumbled onto the CW “healthy living guidelines” however after looking for some interesting recipes I soon discovered this site. I now know that I’m never going back.

Favourite exercise: Kayaking when I get the chance otherwise walking/sprinting.

Favourite Primal food: Fish/steak. I honestly can’t decide.

Best part about being Primal: Running around like a kid, eating like a God.

Worst part about being Primal: Having to avoid eating at “pizza nights” :[
