Pretty Primal, no sugar of any kind including honey or molasses, see motivator for more primal explanation.
              No dairy
Yes tea, No coffee (liver can't handle it, but I want it!)
Motivator for switching to Primal - 14 months ago test results came back that I was intolerant of gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, chicken, certain fish and nuts and needed to get off all grains that were causing inflammation. That all meant Paleo was the way to go!
Favorite exercise - I'm open to anything, going Paleo w/ food is all I've done for 14 months. Exercise is what is next.
Favorite Primal food - hmmmmm, bacon.
Best part about being Primal - knowledge that I'm healing my body, my mood swings are gone, and I am skinny!
Worst part about being Primal - the stinkin' holidays! I want sweets!

              • Firstly - Merry Christmas all!
Hope you're all having a great one.

I've been reading up on Paleo dieting, which is what has brought me to the whole lifestyle idea of the PB - as soon as I opened the book, I found it very difficult to put down. I decided that, after the holidays (as there is a LOT of bad stuff hanging around the house right now!) I'm going to go Primal and get my body in the best condition EVER. I've been reading various posts on the website and have been really inspired by a lot of them.

I'll be starting in a few days... and I can't wait to both see and feel the benefits!

Do you consume dairy: I do at the moment, but will be cutting it out completely.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Coffee and green tea.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Health benefits, and being able to grin from ear to ear when looking in the mirror!

                Favorite exercise: Running outdoors.

                Favorite Primal food: Salmon!

Best part about being Primal: Yet to find out!

Worst part about being Primal: Hoping there are none!

I guess I'll update this after a month of making the switch from CW to PB!

                • I am just toying with the idea of going Primal. I have cut grains and attempting to cut sugar out of my diet. I really like the functional strength and fitness part of being primal. I am nervous about the cholesterol numbers going up. I've read the cholesterol thread but I still have to live in the real world of health care and I don't want to be put on statins or disregard my doctors recommendations.

I've been fascinated with the "paleo"/primal lifestyle since I read The Paleo Solution. I've already used paleo and low-carb principles to lose 60 lbs. of fat. Lately I've also been very interested in the Weston A Price Foundation and attended their 2012 conference.

I'm looking forward to attending PrimalCon 2013. I've recently started posting on PaleoHacks and my own blog: http://recomphacks.wordpress.com/about/

                        • I'm starting over and feeling overwhelmed. I'm 60 - have had joint issues over the years but am still fit enough to swim, do interval training, walk and lifting in a class. The last 6 months I've gained back some weight that I've lost and it's made me uncomfortable in lots of ways. I don't have any particular health problems at the moment but as I age I worry about the family history of high blood pressure, heart disease and further arthritic issues. My husband (darn him) weighs what he did when he graduated from high school, is fit and because I usually feed him eats well and healthily. But the contrast between the amount he eats and what I can eat withut gaining weight is enormous. I'd like to get back to where I was - which I think (I refuse to get on a scale) is about 14 pounds less and continue feeling strong and healthy.

I'm not sure I've ever put this out there before. But why not? Perhaps it will help to be part of the community.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Two honking big cups of Earl Gray every morning with half and half and yes, I'm sorry, a little sugar and and once in a while latte.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Feel better, look better, age better.
