              ...
ďIt is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creeds into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics.Ē

How Primal are you: That's a tough question as I've only just started. I've been 100% committed to following a diet based on the advice offered in 'The Paleo Diet,' 'Good Calories, Bad Calories,' and 'Protein Power.'

Motivator for switching to Primal: I used to be a fitness freak but since have gained more than 100LBS. If something doesn't change I'll die well before my time.

                    Favorite exercise: Powerlifting

Favorite Primal food: A well cooked piece of beef, pork, chicken, omelet, etc.

Worst part about being Primal: I do miss my great big pasta dishes, potatoes, and sweets.

I began this Primal journey on December 30th, 2009 and in that time I've lost over 125 LBS.

How Primal are you: I've been about 70% for the last six months. On Monday, I started shooting for 90-100%

Do you consume dairy: Yes, I consume about 1 oz heavy cream in my coffee each day.

Do you drink coffee or tea: No more than one cup of coffee with heavy cream, sweetened with a Splenda packet. (Thinking of eliminating coffee entirely.)

Motivator for switching to Primal: Primarily weight loss, control Type II Diabetes and a whopping case of Insulin Resistance.

Favorite exercise: Anything that makes me sweat. On Saturday, I did my first set of sprints (well first, since probably grade school P.E.)

How Primal are you: As primal as I can be, depending on what wallet says!

Do you consume dairy: Yes. Dairy is an integral part of my diet, raw milk, greek yogurt and cheese is pretty prevalent for me.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Mainly because I like the philosophy of it all, the "keeping close to our roots and history" part is something I've been doing for years and to follow the diet is the next step for me.

Do you drink alcohol: Rarely. Might have half a glass of red wine with dinner when dining out or a vodka/gin and mixer when out with the boys. Sparkling water after that. And no, Iím not boring :-p

Worst part about being Primal: Being told that Iíve been brainwashed by some clever internet marketing dudes who are trying to hook me in so that they can then sell me stuff (subscriptions, books, vitamins, DVDís etc).

                                Age (If you want): 27

How Primal are you: Getting back on track after the holidays, let's say 80% for now.

Do you consume dairy: Try not to. Some cheese every once in a while but my body likes it better with no dairy.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Tea, not as often as I would like.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Improve my health and quality of life, practicing what I preach, and when I eat primal I feel better and I am shredded.

Favorite exercise: Any sort of pull up.

Favorite Primal food: grass fed beef.

Best part about being Primal: eating meat and eggs guilt free.

Worst part about being Primal: Eating out is harder and visiting my parents house because they have junk food everywhere. I was addicted to sugar and candy before, so I don't like having it nearby or I end up having some, it's bad news.
