  • 365 day and beyond goal to celebrated 42nd birthday

    Greetings all!
    I have dipped a toe into the primal lifestyle once or twice before. 30 days here.. 90 days there, and have always slacked off.
    But with the start of my 42nd year on the planet I am committing myself to a full year of the primal lifestyle. No excuses. I am in the best possible position to get this done.

    Here are my reasons why past excuses don't hold water;

    1. I live in the country. I am a hobby/gentleman farmer.
    2. I have a very lovely chicken coop with plenty of fresh eggs.
    3. I LOVE to garden, and cook.
    4. I am (according to friends and family) a Master of the smoker and BBQ grill.
    5. I am a beekeeper as well as a mead brewer.
    6. I am not afraid to learn.

    I know this lifestyle works. I ask myself, why do i slack off when I have all these things that make sticking to it so much easier?

    Because lazy is easy.

    365 days.
    1 year commitment
    1 year towards the rest of my life.

    Excellent attitude. I started almost two years ago, took a month off to try high carb/low fat in November because of my workout routine and ended up realizing that my body wanted to go back to the Primal life so I did. Once the year is up, you'll come to the same realization. What a magnificent lifestyle.

        I've been primal for almost 2 years, April this year will be 2 years exact. I've never really fallen off the wagon but ...once in awhile, especially when things are going really well healthwise, I let myself slip up and indulge in unhealthy foods, like pizza or store milk thats pasteurized. I've never cheated with the same foods twice because once I've eaten them I usually take 2 days to revoer from them digestive wise.
        I'm starting to run out of cheat ideas because so far EVERYTHING I've cheated with ended up being a disaster on my health.
        Nothing left and I'm basically forced to eat primally for the rest of my life since I really care about my health.

        I just have to tell myself it's cardboard with sugar or salt.
