    Hi all!

    I'm Bob, thursdaychild, and today is my first day going primal. As my login name implies I have far to go. I've read a lot about this journey and I am really excited to begin this journey and may need some help from you all who are also new to this path as well to be inspired by all of you who have been here awhile and have seen success.

      A little bit of both really. I've been ignoring gluten issues for a long time. Waking up feel arthritic and always tired. Also over the past 4 or 5 years I've gained a lot more weight then I feel comfortable carrying. I guess I need to lose somewhere around 45 to 50 pounds. Hoping to experience the entire Primal lifestyle, health, weight control as well slowing down and simplifying my life.

        Sounds like me.
        I've been a functioning zombie for 30 years of my life. At age 36 I came down with rheumatoid arthritis, doctors said can't be cured, is genetic and will need pain meds or possibly joint replacement later in life.
        What a bunch of bs that was. I'm completely cured of RA and can even hold myself in a push up position on my fingertips...not to mention I'm sprinting 100m tracks faster than my 14 year old nephew.
        And I used to be overweight, too.

        I focused on health first. Took me a little over a year to repair whatever was wrong, joints, bones, skin, allergies, etc. Then 1 afternoon I just busted out in a sprint while walking my dog...it felt great (and I was sore the next day) and I've been doing my sprints 3-4x a week ever since. Was scary at first, trying to not fall over my own feet, but I'm getting more and more sure-footed.

                Goals: Feel good, be stronger, and hopefully kick that arthritis in the backside! Oh, yeah, and losing more weight would be okay, too.
