  • Primal on Tour

    Hey Folks,

I realize I made my initial post over here http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum...Primal-on-Tour in the nutrition section. So, I thought I'd jump over here and say hello. If you care to get caught up on my mission to go primal while touring the US on a bus, check out the original thread. Helpful comments and suggestions always welcome. I'm excited about this challenge! Thanks!!!

Oh, no. I'm not a roadie for a band. I'm a stagehand for touring Broadway shows and large scale musicals.

And I'll be coming through Appleton in a few months!!!

Nickelodeon's Storytime Live! Kid's show, but it's short and it pays the bills and it means I get to go to WI and have some cheese curds!!!

Well, that sounds like fun! Cheese curds definitely rock! Just make sure you don't get the refrigerated kind. It ruins the squeakiness.

I'm discovering a ton of tasty new meals through these forums and other sites. Tonight, I made turkey burgers with chopped spinach and goat cheese blended in. Wrapped them in lettuce and went to town. Delicious!

You can see pictures of the finished product here:

LOL! Thanks! Too bad I won't have access to a broiler on the road. BUT, I bet we'll have a mini grill so I will certainly whip these up when I can!!

Oook. So, I ate 2 turkey burgers less than 2 hours ago and I'm still hungry. I'm about to dig into the frozen avocado mush I stuck in the freezer a few hours ago. I've been pretty good with my food choices over the past 3 days... what's up??

turkey burgers = not much fat.

                      avocado should help!

Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.

Thanks FNW. I'll keep that in mind.

Breakfast this morning was a spinach, bacon, and mozzarella omelet with a cup of coffee. Nice!

I've also been doing about 40 mins. on the Wii Fit. I know Grok didn't have a Wii, but at least I'm moving!!

Primal is going to be pretty easy to eat on the road. When in doubt go for a salad with meat. Always just try to put in the extra effort to find stuff that isn't over processed, but since you are working musicals, you should have less problems with that than some indie band roadie.

Well, just because I do musicals doesn't necessarily make it easier! Break time still consists of doughnuts and bagels. That's all stagehands seem to want! But, with a little planning ahead, I'm sure I can avoid the bad stuff. Thanks for the support!!
