The cheese is your choice. I say keep it. The key is to eat slowly, chew your food and stop eating when you are satisfied. Simple!

I have been primal for 13 months and have found that I enjoy eating 100% primal. I don't stress out about it. When I am home I make primal food and nothing else. When I am away from home then I do the best I can. At a restaurant I will order 100% primal food.

I am all about feeling awesome. Steak makes me feel awesome. Eggs to do. Non primal food makes me feel like shit. So why would I eat those foods? Its easy to do after a year!

Thanks man! I really appreciate the advice. I will be following you. I all ready have spent some time perusing your posts and such.

I'm not eating dairy either, but I'm new and really trying to cut out stuff that might be an issue. Dairy is a possiblility, but I'm assuming I'll be adding it in when my gut gets in better shape.

I agree that if cheese makes you happy (and the world would be a worse place without cheese), eat it. If you're serious about losing weight, your weight loss isn't going to hinge on just one thing. I'm also noticing a rapid weight loss in my first week, which is probably water weight for the most part, but it still feels good. I'd be happy to be a friend on this site if you're looking for one!
Thanks for the welcome and welcome to you also! I set the goals to what I have predetermined for MFP. I put the percentages for what I want. At this point it's more of a guide than a strict thing. I also input a lot of my own food info so I know how accurate it is at all times. I will say since starting this way of life, I don't feel overly committed to tracking as much. I eat when I'm hungry and I don't when I'm not. It's actually pretty refreshing. Before I would have to eat every 3 hours or I would get a headache or shaky. Now, I can go 8+ hours without feeling the need to eat. I hope to do my first IF soon.

As far as the weight being water weight? Really? I would have thought I would have lost most of what I was going to lose that way in the first month I started losing weight in general. I haven't stopped exercising or having a fairly "clean" diet. It's just "cleaner" now. Is it because the muscles are releasing the extra water due to not having carbs to burn? Not sure if I said that right...

Anyway, just want to thank you all for being so friendly and helpful!

        Peace.

If the cheese doesn't bother you then don't worry about it, unless you are having problems reaching your goals. I'm also rather Scandinavian, and have no desire to give up cheese.
