    Thanks Gregg

I am halfway through the book and have just finished breakfast (omlette with peppers and leeks - delicious but I could only eat 3/4 so the rest went in the dog!)

OK, patience it is (though it isn't my strong suit!)

    Thanks for the encouragement

I am transitioning from Adkins to Primal due to research etc. Reading about the carb grams to consider. Adkins says to keep it at 20 yet Primal is 50-100. here is the question.. I have a lot of weight to lose, can I avoid a plateau if I alternate between the 20g and then the 50-100 since its recommended that you not be in the Ketosis for long?

My sister told me about going Primal, so I ordered the book and cookbook off Amazon with a gift card I received. I just started, and I hope to be as successful as she has been. Despite the long distance, she is being very supportive via text, phone calls, and FB! I've already noticed my clothes are fitting looser. Yay!

I just went Primal about a week ago. I had been doing a very low carb low sugar diet for a few months prior - so not having carbs had not been too rough on me. However, I am a calorie counting - food writing down - stressing about when to eat - addict. I am driving myself crazy trying to input everything in to Fitday...I spend so much time stressing over what I am eating - it just runs my life! I have been trying to not count the hours between my meals and just go with the flow - but I have been a eat every 2-3 hours person for so long it's such a habit and I can't get it out of my head. Yesterday I stopped eating at 6 and didn't have anything until after my workout this morning which was about 9:00 - I am trying to stretch the time between eating and trying not to snack but I'm starving (or am I - maybe it's all in my head) by the time my next meal rolls around. Yeah - I'm crazy. Any suggestions?

So..I have been doing paleo for two-months and have seen little results. I have started running and crossfit 4x a week for the same amount of time. I am confused as I thought weight should just drop off?

ok. i need help. i have been primal for a couple of weeks now, but i am not feeling much better. once a week, i allow myself to indulge in what i really want to eat. plus i am not a huge working out girl. i feel like i am not pushing myself hard enough and that i am not getting everything out of it that i could. am i not embracing the lifestyle completely? my family refuses to go on the diet with me so of course there are pop tarts and rols and bread and cereal and whatever else in our house that is constantly reminding me of what i can't eat. when i work out i work out from 10 to 30 minutes each. i am used to like at least an hour when i am working out. i need advice. am i doing it right? or what am i doing wrong? do i have the carb flu? HELP!

Hi. Welcome. We probably need a bit more about you to help. What are you eating?

If you have a 2 year old and babysit a 4 month old, you are getting enough exercise. Any additional exercise you do might fill in a few gaps but don't feel like you have to do a lot more. And don't let some nice person here tell you too.

Your cheats might be setting you back to zero in terms of ending carb flu. I don't know. Concentrate on the delicious stuff you can eat.

                              cheats

i will definitely admit that flaming hot cheetoes and pretzyls are my weaknesses. i love eating all vegetables. my hubby however despises all but carrots in a can and corn. so i feel like i am cooking 2 separate meals for my family all the time. which is discouraging. i love potatoes. i am a pretty good chef if i say so myself. i almost fooled my hubby into thinking cauliflower was mashed potatoes but after he found out what it really was he refused to eat it. my son, is asserting his independence with his food. so i have to trick him into eating food that is good for him...

Not to sound like a clique, but you need to take care of yourself first...This is what being Primal is all about. Then maybe the rest of your family will follow after seeing how good you look/feel...Grok On!
