  • Help....Ive got verucas !

I need help from some of you more experienced members. Have any of you had verucas on the soles of your feet ??
They are an ingrown wart like thing. I am noticing now that I am wearing my five fingers.... they are starting to get sore. I am presuming that these new barefoot shoes are peeling the dead layers off my feet, so the verucas are getting more exposed ????

Any ideas on how to get rid of them ?

I love all the advise that you experienced members give out, so keep it up

Its my understanding, you will need to see a podiatrist. Verucas or plantar warts need to be removed. See a professional.

Thanx for that. I shall seek professional advice, although I was hoping that there would be a simple primal cure !!!!!!

There are so many nerves in your foot, I would be hesitant to try something unproven. Unless there wasn't a better option. I think with your feet, a good foot specialist is in order so you can keep walking comfortably.

My mom got rid of a huuuuge one by using "Compound W" (brand name) wart medicine (salicylic acid is the active ingredient), but I don't know if you have that in NZ. My daughters all swim, and all ended up with mild cases of them - I used 70% pure propolis tincture on them. It makes a shellac-y shell (you just apply and let dry).

The book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis Balch has nutritional supports for almost everything - might be worth a look. I bought the last couple of revisions of it. Otherwise, if yours are deep, or particularly large, or growing in colonies, I would also seek out a podiatrist.

When I read the title of your thread I had no idea what a veruca was and just assumed they were a species of animals or insects that had made their way into your house! Glad that's not the case, but good luck with your feet - I agree that to see a doc about it is the best route to take. Don't mess with feet - you need em!

Thanx guys, I really think that a podiatrist might be the way to go. I will also have a look at
the book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis Balch.

I had one for a couple years as a teen (I was VERY unhappy about it) but lost it one summer swimming in the ocean and running around on a hot sandy beach.

Most docs can freeze them off with liquid nitrogen. Not a big deal, takes only a moment and hurts for a few minutes. Then the wart organism dies and a couple of days or weeks later, it just more or less falls out (may need to be picked out, but you can do that yourself). Both my kids have had them.

Get it cut out...you'll be sore at first, but will be back (fully) on your feet again quicker, based on my experience.

Wasn't Veruca Salt the name of the girl who turned into a giant blueberry in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Didn't know she was named after a wart! Maybe you should run your feet through the blueberry squeezing machine; maybe Roald Dahl knew something we don't.

Oregano essential oil- a really good quality one. Rub a drop or two in morning and night (if not more often).
You don't have to be sick to get better.

I had to have two laser surgeries to remove mine, as freezing and acid didn't work. Now I have scar tissue deep in my heel. Get them taken care of, as soon as possible!
