many of us do whey protein smoothies, or you could have dinner for bfast. I like turkey sausage (from my farmers market) with a handful of nuts & a cup of tea. hope that helps!

here are some of my breakfasts, including the egg ones:

        - leftovers from dinner the night before

        - hard boiled eggs, sliced in half, with a few shakes of tabasco + fresh pepper, accompanied by a few slices of prosciutto + cherry tomatoes

        - scrambled eggs with guacamole and salsa

        - fruit smoothie and a few slices of bacon

        - fruit salad with almond butter drizzled over top

        - primal meuslix with any combo of nuts, seeds, fresh or dried fruit all mixed with some yogurt. i don't have this often but when i am craving a crunchy cereal...could also do with almond milk if not eating dairy

        - primal cookies with coconut, raisins and walnuts. usually accompanied by a couple of hard boiled eggs

        - coconut pancakes with bacon on the weekends [i will splurge and have some maple syrup too]

        hope this inspires you!

Eggs, uncured bacon and chopped artisan sausage all fried in lard. It's the best breakfast I can think of.

I generally do one of three things.

            1) Eggs. Various ways.

            2) Whey protein shake (with raw egg)

            3) Leftovers from dinner (sometimes with eggs.)

I generally eat the same kinds of things that I would eat for lunch or supper. It took me a while to get over the Occidental pre-conceptions about what breakfast food is supposed to be. Someone else already mentioned it, but leftovers from the night before are a great option.

Someone also mentioned protein powder. I've used it in a pinch, but recently cut it completely out of my diet. Here's a zinger - I dropped 2% body fat in 10 days... Obviously I had developed an intolerance. So just be careful with powders (after all, they are highly processed foods...).

              Cheers,

              Adam

@Adam Steer: Would you say the same about unsweetened whey protein powder? I'm thinking of making myself primal bars for when I'm on-the-go, but want to make them as primal as possible...

                            @Suz

Any protein powder is a highly processed food. Good quality stuff without sweeteners and fillers is obviously a better choice. But it's still processed.

I have a good friend who is one of Canada's top coaches for "body competitors." He does a fair bit of testing as part of his process, and he tells me that protein powder is among the elements that comes up most for intolerance problems. And when you are eating something you're intolerant to, your body is going to protect itself. And one thing it's going to do is hold onto fat.

Mind you, the people he works with obviously eat LOTS of protein powder. So they're more likely to develop an intolerance. But I still think it's one of those things you have to be careful with. In moderation, in a pinch, it's probably a decent alternative (certainly better than a chocolate croissant for breakfast... LOL). But a bison T-bone on the BBQ with some brussels sprouts and a bit of brown basmati rice would be better (that's what I had this morning...).

                            Hope that helps.

                            Cheers,

                            Adam

PS I made an awesome bison pot roast in my pressure cooker earlier. That's what's for breaky tomorrow!
