I have to add that Coconut Oil also seems to be an instigator in this discussion. I consume quite a bit of the stuff in smoothies and such and the wife kinda complains that I am acting like an 18 year old, I could think of worse things, like, no bacon for a month, argggghhhh!!!!

For me, no extra libido so far. Too tired.
Fertility wise if I get preggies my gynae says it would be a miracle, I was born at 7 months, so she puts my infertility down to this. Part of me would like to prove her wrong, part of me is happy as a twosome!
NavyFlyWife, Increased fertility makes a lot of sense. Gary Taubes mentions this in the last few pages of his book (good calories, bad calories) that it appears animals become more fertile when food is available. Obviously you need to provide nutrients for yourself and the developing fetus. When eating a lot of carbs, your body goes into a sort of "nutrient storing mode", characterized by storing excess calories as fat, dropping of blood sugar, followed by subsequent hunger, which again continues to perpetuate itself into a vicious cycle of storing energy (as a PB follower, You're already familiar with this concept), energy which otherwise go towards building essential tissue such as the brain, which(I can only assume) would require all that fat that CW shuns
Tclack, good stuff. I have that book but haven't read it yet. Makes sense about the body feeling like it's "times of plenty" if it doesn't have to work to store nutrients/fat all the time... and relaxing a bit on the "are you sure it's time to have babies?" front.
I'm excited to see what kind of awesome kid I can turn out ... just hope my appetite returns so I can start eating real amounts of real food again.
