The sad truth is that regardless of whether the cure is needed or not, Big Pharma isn't going to stop until everyone is popping pills daily for the rest of their lives to treat some invented disease (see: Restless Legs Syndrome). The pharma companies did and continue to do some good, but unfortunately it's balanced by lots of greed - "misinterpreted" studies, unreported negative results, and created diseases - that more than overcome the good done by fixes like insulin for Type I diabetics.

Where we begin is with everyone (or at least those that aren't game for a quick-fix pill) taking control of their health. That means eating like a caveman, working out in short, intense bursts, and managing stress and overall well-being. Until everyone takes control of their health in such a way, they're at the hands of Big Pharma, who could care less about your health, only about taking your wealth.

Cheers

I think the real kicker is that the whole cholestoral hypothesis seems to be crumbling so Big Pharma may be making a bundle on a cure that no one needs!!
