A great book I recommend that helped me to understand how society as a whole has gotten to where it is today is &quot;Amusing Ourselves To Death&quot; by Neil Postman.

The instant gratification, me-first society is no accident.  It is the product of our mediums of mass communication and of our image driven society.

That book is a fantastic read, I highly recommend it.</description>

You&#039;d think scientists of all people would know better.  The good news?  By far the vast majority of respondents (80%) don&#039;t (or at least don&#039;t admit to) drug abuse.</description>
