		<description>Finally, a post I can agree with wholeheartedly.

A great book I recommend that helped me to understand how society as a whole has gotten to where it is today is "Amusing Ourselves To Death" by Neil Postman.

The instant gratification, me-first society is no accident.  It is the product of our mediums of mass communication and of our image driven society.

That book is a fantastic read, I highly recommend it.</description>

		<description>Add to that all the starlets taking adderall, clenbuterol and the like for weight loss and you have one messed up society.  You'd think scientists of all people would know better.  The good news?  By far the vast majority of respondents (80%) don't (or at least don't admit to) drug abuse.</description>
