Announcement: Upcoming Event

Picture3 4I will be speaking at a CrossFit Genesis sponsored event in Roseville, CA on Tuesday, October 20th. If any Mark’s Daily Apple readers can make it I’d be thrilled to have you drop by. Read the promo flyer copy and all the event details below:

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet Mark in person during his Northern California media tour. Mark’s extensively researched masterwork cuts through the confusion, hype and flawed Conventional Wisdom about eating and exercising with a simple, evolution-proven program based on ten simple, practical Primal Blueprint behavior laws. As soon as you “go Primal” you will enjoy immediate results in the form of improved energy, athletic performance and immune function. Long-term, you will be able to effortlessly reach and maintain your ideal weight without the struggling and suffering that is so common with the mainstream approach.

This single evening could change your life—and quite possibly save your life! Mark will have copies of the Primal Blueprint available to personally autograph for everyone in attendance, and engage in extensive Q&A about losing weight effortlessly, overhauling your diet, and getting much more out of your training program in far fewer hours than you might think!

Tuesday, October 20th
7:00pm – 8:45pm
Maidu Community Center

1550 Maidu Dr, Roseville, CA 95661 (Off Rocky Ridge Dr., South of Douglas Blvd, adjacent to Maidu Regional Park)

Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  1. Mark- we are so excited to have the chance to hear you speak! Hoping a lot of readers in the area can make it so we can start to build our Primal Network in the Sacramento area!!

  2. Hey Mark, are you planning on a talk in the Bay Area? I am sure you have many MDA readers here who would love to attend. I hope it happens soon!

    • None yet, but I’ll let you know when and if I do right here on MDA. Thanks for the interest, Apurva, and for staying in touch.

  3. YES!!! I am SO there! It’s only an hour away from me!!

  4. I’ll so be there! I already have the book. Will you still sign it?

ultrafknbd wrote on October 13th, 2009
    • No. You must buy another book to get the signature. Or you could pay $26.99 for a signature on your original book. Kidding! Of course I’ll sign it! See you there.

Mark Sisson wrote on October 14th, 2009
      • Great talk. Thank you for signing my well-worn book.

  5. I have been with you for about 3 years Mark and would love to meet you in Roseville as I am only about 30 minutes away. However, I have a previous engagement that prohibits my attendance. Too bad. I would love to shake your hand and give my own personal testimonial and a testimonial as a health care provider in the area.

I would be interested in creating/participating in a meet-up group for Sisson and/or Devany students in the Sactown area. Anyone else interested?

As a sidenote Mark, could your worker bees create a “Grok On” emblem for my tailgate window on my SUV? Just like the one on the t-shirts, but for my SUV.

    Thanks

    • Yes, too bad. I’d love to meet you. Maybe sometime in the future our paths will cross.

What are you looking for exactly, primalman? A graphic you can use to get a sticker printed?

Mark Sisson wrote on October 14th, 2009
    • I would also be interested in advertising for Mark for free. ^_^ I figure with how much his advice has changed my life, it’s the least I can do. I would love a bumper sticker/emblem for my car!
I’m about 45 minutes away from Sacramento and would DEFINITELY be interested in a meetup group.

      Tara G. wrote on October 15th, 2009
  6. I guess I could check out to see how to download the graphic to have the sticker printed somewhere else.

What I had in mind is that your worker bees could do this and sell the stickers from primal nutrition. That way you could make a little cash from selling the window stickers and get free advertising while I drive around town. This business idea is free of charge by the way, LOL.

  7. Hi Mark,

I was speaking with a friend of mine about how fantastic “The Primal Blueprint” book is…& she asked me whether it was available on CD? I didn’t think it was, but thought I’d ask you. Thanks Mark.
