Contest: Show Your Meal. Win a Le Creuset Pan and a $150 Gift Certificate.

CutleryUPDATE: This contest is closed. Visit the 30 Day Challenge Contest Page to find out which contests are still open, and to view winners.

The Prize:

CSN Stores is offering up a $150 Gift Certificate for Corelle dishware or whatever else you’d like from any of their 200 websites. So, yes, you could technically use this gift certificate to buy something weird like a glow-in-the-dark reindeer Christmas decoration, but I’d suggest sticking with Primal fare like the dishes, cutlery, a barbecue grill, or a Crock Pot from Cookware.com.

LeCreusetPanBut that’s just the half of it. Beyond Pots and Pans is offering up a cherry red Le Creuset Square Skillet Grill Pan for the winner of today’s contest. I’ve featured Le Creuset on MDA before. It’s the stuff I use – the good stuff. As a bonus, for the rest of the month MDA customers can get a 10% discount from BeyondPotsandPans.com by using the promo code “MDA” when ordering.

The Contest:

Send me a picture of your meal. Tonight. Are you eating tonight? Take a pic of that meal. Email it to me. It’s that simple. You’ve only got a day to do this, no time to over think it. Make it as Primal as you can. Snap a photo. Send it in. And make sure the subject line of your email reads “Meal Submission” or it won’t count. Let’s see what everyone out there is eating!

The Deadline:

September 10, 10:00 a.m. PST. Only 24 hours, the clock is ticking!

Who is Eligible:

Anyone in the world with a camera and a meal.

How a Winner is Chosen:

A random drawing will be held among all entrants who submit adequate photos. Check back on Sunday to see all the submissions!

Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  4. Darn! Its a “minivan night” here (where I spend too much time carting kids to dance class or the like), which means a crockpot roast and veggies. My crockpot meals are never pretty. Healthy? Yes. Photogenic? No.

  10. Tonight we made bacon wrapped venison back-strap cutlets rolled and stuffed with onions and red bell peppers and a garlic olive oil spice rub. Complimented with pancetta wrapped asparagus and bacon, almond, and shallot balsamic green beans. It was fabulous.

Reading what everyone is eating reminds me this lifestyle is not a sacrifice. I’ve never eaten better, tastier (and guilt-free) food!

Ours was an ecletic mix of our favorites- lots of fat, bacon, seafood (including calamari), pemmican… but it was primal and nourishing. We hope everyone ate well tonight too!

  19. Just rooted around for what was in the fridge–turkey-egg omelet with spinach, tomato and asparagus baked in olive oil, mixed greens salad with carrots and almonds, and a bowl of full-fat yogurt with frozen berries for dessert. Yum!

    • Turkey-egg? As in ‘egg from a Turkey’… oohhh that’s a new one on me- we raise chicken and have access to Duck Eggs, but I never thought of getting or trying Turkey. I’ll put it on my to-do list.

Victoria wrote on September 10th, 2010
      • Yeah, they taste almost the same as chicken eggs, but maybe a little… heavier? Not sure if that’s the right word to describe it. They’re good though. Substantially larger than chicken eggs as well. The shells are tough though; they’re a pain in the butt to open without getting little shell bits everywhere.

I haven’t tried duck eggs, but I want to.
