Contest Results: Where in the World is Grok?
There are Groks all over the globe! Australia, Singapore, Germany, Canada, Austria, Ireland, Norway, India, Ukraine, Hungary, South Korea, Thailand, Portugal, Sweden and in numerous states across the beautiful U.S. of A. If you’re reading this there is a Grok in your hometown, too.
By the looks of these pictures it appears that I’m well on my way to achieving my life goal of helping 10 million or more people take control of their health. Help me toward my goal, and help others “get Primal” by telling them about Mark’s Daily Apple and the Primal Blueprint. I need all the help I can get! Grok on!
The winner of this contest, chosen randomly, is MDA reader Kyle from Seattle, WA. Congrats to Kyle and many thanks to everyone that participated.

I wish I had the presence of thought to enter this contest. I am an avid hiker and spelunker – and yes, I do both in my Five Fingers. Where in the world is Grok? In my case, often crawling around in the bowels of the earth!
It’s been great seeing all the different caves Groks reside in!
This is fun. Wish I hadn’t dropped my camera in the river before these challenges began:P
My “Grok is in Houston” taken on my camoflage backpack in my stuffy cubicle was just sad…

Man! I wish I had remembered to enter this one.
I have to say though, the cactus in Tuscon made me laugh.
I wonder how many primal enthusiasts are in Tucson. I’m the only one I know of so far!
I know this is quite late, but nope your not the only one in tucson! ben primal for over a year now and loving it!
It’s nice to know that Grok, and by extension fellow primalites, are so widespread. It’s like having friends all over the world! It also makes me think that there must be others interested in living primally in my area, I just have to hunt them down
Wow, amazing slide show! Grok certainly is a world traveller!
I always thought it would be cool to get a bunch of groks together once a month or something for a potluck bonfire. I lived on the beach in Santa Cruz, Ca and thought that would be pretty awesome. Now I’m not far away in San Jose, and would still drive to the beach, or hike somewhere in the mountains to do something like this. I’ve gotta watch those grok tags go by for other people in my area.
ooh, there’s someone in Oakland, that’s getting promising…
We’re in San Mateo!
Seeing all these pictures makes me realize what a huge primal community I am a part of.
Really beautiful & diverse backgrounds! What a creative tribe/clan of Groks & Grokettes!
So cool to see Grok in so many places and it’s really encouraging to me to know that there are so many others that strive to be as healthy, vibrant, and happy as they can be. We have to continue to spread the word so that others can experience what we do!! Grok On!
I hope I am that Kyle in Seattle. =)
Glad to see my home state of Louisiana represented. You don’t get much more primal than boiled crawfish.
Best contest yet! Super fun to see all the Groks out there.
Way to represent the Northwest Kyle! Congrats!!
Wow, there were some pretty exotic places in there! I have to say, I though there’d be more San Diego Groks!…
Sorry I missed out on this one but glad to see Portland, OR represent!
Baltimore Grok, where did you take your picture? It looks too wild to be Druid Hill Park…
Mark,
You will know you really succeeded when you get this entry in the next contest (forgive my laughable photoshopping skills):

I can’t decide if I’m more excited that Grok is in Philly, or that Grok has spanned the globe…I guess humans will always be a supremely adaptable species
Grok is all over! Grok on!
Grok is in the Philippines
Grok has visited so many state capitol buildings! Grok on Pierre, Jefferson City, and Sacramento from Salem and the Big Gold Dude! (And honorable mention to Austin, which doesn’t picture the capitol.) Did I miss any? Grok for state senate!
I was really looking forward to seeing all the photos from this contest. Wow, I am not disappointed. How fun.
Kind of like Santa, Grok travels around the world FAST. Unlike Santa, Grok is lean and not hampered by a bowl fully of jelly, because he eats primally. Grok will bring children really good things to eat, not stockings full of highly processed candy.
I wish I would have entered this one! Grok would have been kayaking on the Charles River. Alas, I am too late. Great slide showl
Just reiterates how adaptable we are as hominids. Just read an article on the continued evolution of us. Basically, the evolution happens amongst the most disparate groups across the globe (basically, the few hunter-gatherers remaining). However, because those groups are so few and far between and the rest of us regularly intermingle, the evolution of distinct mutations won’t likely result in any new hominid species or sub species anytime soon. So we, H. sapiens sapiens will continue to be the lone race of humans on Earth for the foreseeable future. Unless we do something crazy, like nuke ourselves into oblivion or continue with unsustainable agriculture and ecosystem destruction.
I like all the pictures of Grok on the hunt. The geese, chickens, and dinosaurs all seem to be perfect primal choices.
So many people from so many places brought together to form one Primal family… Just one of those things that makes you appreciate the modern world while looking back to our roots for inspiration.
Haha. I woke up down today. Youve ceerehd me up!
This is absolutely beautiful…just goes to show you how we are all united no matter where we are on this planet. Groks UNITED!!!
