Contest Poll: Primal Blueprint Recipe Videos

It’s time for you to decide another winner! At the start of this 30-Day Challenge I put out a call for Primal Blueprint Recipe Videos. MDA readers got right to work. As a result, YouTube has never seen better looking food.

As you might imagine, my crew and I had a tough time narrowing the field. We lost nights of sleep, shed many tears and cursed our duty of having to eliminate so many great videos from the running. And in the end we held a blind vote. To everyone that didn’t make the cut, many thanks from myself and (yes, I’ll take the liberty) the MDA community for your contributions.

Before the vote, a recap of what’s at stake:

The Prize:

A Sous Vide Sous Vide Supreme and a Vacuum Sealer courtesy of Dr. Michael Eades.

Alaskan SalmonAlaskan wild-caught sockeye salmon, courtesy of The Wild Alaskan Salmon Company.

Beef JerkyChef’s Choice starter pack of grass fed beef jerky, courtesy of Slant Shack Jerky.

Coconut Flour2 lb bag of coconut flour, courtesy of Tropical Traditions.

The Sous Vide Supreme, the Vacuum Sealer, the Alaskan Salmon, the Grass Fed Jerky, and a bag of coconut. Who receives this Primal prize package is up to you. Watch the videos below and then make your vote count.

Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  1. Great recipees, all of them! Can’t wait to try them out!

    • I know I especially love the Spaghetti and Meatballs Primalized video. It is funny and the recipe is delicious!

  2. Mark,

I watched the Primal Everyday video for a few minutes and had to stop. She is talking about whole-grain alternative, increased CHD with saturated fat! I didn’t wait to see if Agave syrup was the next thing on her list.

I am very disappointed in the selection of this video.

    :(

    • @ Phil. – Ha, Keep watching Phil. The beginning is a spoof on cooking shows and CW. Grok comes to the rescue soon!

      • The “Lancelot storming the castle” bit was a nice touch, as was the term “metabolic disaster”! :^)

  6. I can’t even eat half of the recipe that’s in the lead right now- I can’t eat dairy.

    What’s up with that??

  8. There were so many good recipes…some I thought would make the cut didn’t; however, what is great about the contest is I now have several new wonderful Primal recipes, regardless of who wins! Looks like we all win!

  9. These were all great videos. But a special plug for the primal pizza crust recipe which I tried over the weekend. It won instant approval from my 12-year-old, pizza-loving son. And the two guys who produced the braised short ribs videos were totally impressive. Theirs is a very high quality video series which inspired the beef short ribs purchase sitting in my fridge right now… great work!

  10. I didn’t have time to watch any videos this week. I can’t wait to watch them all in the coming weeks!!

  12. Hey whoever wrote the first comment you had to watch the whole thing. The guy came in to tell her to stop and he changed the recipe to Primal

Maria wrote on October 4th, 2010
  13. Man, the voting ended too soon. I got like 30 emails from my friends asking me why they couldn’t find the place to vote! Congrats to Stephen and David, great videos!

Ben wrote on October 5th, 2010
    • Thanks Ben! I too was pretty surprised how short the voting process was. Congrats to you as well, I’m sure you’ll do that salmon coming your way justice. Keep up the cooking, and nice work on your video as well!

Stephen wrote on October 5th, 2010
      • Disregard that salmon comment. I thought each contestant received a prize. Apparently not? I need some sleep…

Stephen wrote on October 5th, 2010
