Every day this week, either get yourself outside or to the gym. No excuses (sky falling? Okay). Working out every day, all the time, isn’t totally necessary, but it certainly is good for you – and you’ll feel amazing come the weekend. Commit to at least 30 minutes every day this week.
Here’s your weekly health challenge, Apples:
We’re stepping it up a notch. This week’s challenge is personalized. Think about your worst habit or vice. Maybe it’s fast food. Maybe it’s smoking. Maybe it’s midnight pantry raids. Whatever your very worst health habit is – that’s your challenge this week. See if you can stop, even if it’s just for a week. (Who says “cold turkey” isn’t delicious?)
This one should be easy for all of you: before the holidays really hit full speed this weekend, do yourself a healthy favor. No junk food this week. Nada, zip, zero, [all right, insert “nothing” synonym of choice here]. We know you’re all healthy in mind, body, and spirit. Salads don’t stand a chance around you. Wait, why is this one even a challenge? Mark?

This week, let’s go green. Eat something green – whether leafy or crunchy – at every meal, including breakfast. You’ll feel leaner by the end of the week (but not meaner).
It Ain’t All About Food: You Gotta Move, Too!
Here’s your weekly health challenge:
Commit to 3 solid workout sessions this week. If you’re already disciplined about performing regular exercise, then increase the length of your workout by 10 minutes, or try a challenging new fitness tool or technique. If you’re working out for 30 minutes, the pain of another 10 minutes is marginal, and the cumulative impact of a little more grit will surprise you.
