Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  1. This is very much a SWYPO recipe…

    • probably a dumb question.. but what does SWYPO stand for?

      • From whole9life.com:   To use an analogy we can all (probably) understand, the Paleo-ification of poor food choices is a little bit like having sex with your pants on (SWYPO)

        • Well I’m sure that makes me feel like rainbows inside… that being what it is… this is barely different than a recipe for ‘Hot Primal Cereal’ from the quick and easy cookbook… it is by no means my paleo-ification of anything…

  2. Hi Mark, HI Adam :) I’m new to all this “primal” stuff, only found you guys a few weeks ago and I’m loving it, I’ve lost 4kilos so far. :D
I love this recipe idea – my Hubs likes his nanas almost green (bleurgh!) and won’t eat them after that and they’re not my favourite fruit, so this is a great way of using them up and making a yummy snack-attack filler/energy bar.
Adam, re your problems with the blender sticking(mine too)- I buzz my dry ingredients separately before I start; turn the nuts into a flour almost. Then warm your nanas in the microwave for a minute and mash thoroughly in a large mixing bowl. Then add the ‘ground up nuts flour’ using a hand-held electric whisk to mix them all together, makes it much easier!
Oh and I make a chocolate “frosting” with the coconut oil and chocolate powder, makes it easier to spread ;)
