Imagine you’re George Clooney. Take a moment to admire your grooming and wit. Okay, now imagine someone walks up to you and asks, “What’s your name?” You say, “I’m George Clooney.” Or maybe you say, “I’m the Clooninator!” You don’t say “I’m George of George Clooney Sells Movies Blog” and you certainly don’t say, “I’m Clooney Weight Loss Plan”. So while spam is technically meat, it ain’t anywhere near Primal. Please nickname yourself something your friends would call you.

  2. Simon,

Yes, I have read it. I think it’s probably the single best piece written on the history of nutrition research. I agree with most of what Taubes has to say. It should be required reading by every MD in the world. I have also followed with interest the discourse – if you can call it that – between Colpo, Eades and others over the “calorie is a calorie is a calorie” question (which I bet you have too, Simon) and I tend to agree with Taubes on that one as well. Carb calories probably do count more when it comes to weight gain and loss.

I believe you asked this a few days ago, but I couldn’t decipher to whom the question was directed. Sorry…
